KARL LAGERFELD may be the only designer we associate with Chanel, with the exception of Mademoiselle Coco, but he has his eye on a successor when the time arises.
"I have a contract for life so it all depends on who I would like to hand it to," Lagerfeld told Numeromagazine. "At the moment I'd say Haider Ackermann."
Ackermann, who was last year tipped as Martin Margiela's successor at the Maison, was invited to Chanel's latest show in Paris by Lagerfeld - and is understandably overwhelmed to be named as a possible Chanel helmer by Lagerfeld.
