Opened late last year in the Lebanese capital, Ginette is a concept store that’s part restaurant, part shop and part art gallery. On the outdoor terrace is a trendy bistro serving up healthy lunchtime snacks to razor-thin scenesters, while inside on the mezzanine level is a collaborative space with a Tokyo-based art gallery for an exhibition of Japan’s coolest creatives. Wrapping things up is a shop that sells a wide range of upmarket accessories and apparel to spend-happy fashionistas, from chic clothes to gorgeous grooming products. And with everything under one slick roof – designed by Beirut-based architect firm Raed Abillama, no less – Ginette is a welcome addition to this achingly hip city .
