Galliano Sacked By Dior Over 'Anti-Semitism'

Fashion house Christian Dior has sacked designer John Galliano following his alleged anti-Semitic outburst which left actress Natalie Portman "shocked and disgusted".

ewish star Portman has vowed to cut all links with Galliano after he reportedly told fellow customers in a Paris cafe that their mothers "would have been gassed" and "I love Hitler".

He was suspended as Dior's creative director last week following his arrest by French police over allegations he subjected a couple to a drunken, anti-Semitic tirade.

The decision to sack him follows the release of a video of an earlier incident in the same cafe, where he apparently launched a similar rant and allegedly praised Hitler.

Announcing he would be fired, Sifney Toldeano, managing director of the French label, said: "I condemn in the strongest terms the things said by John Galliano."

He said they were "in complete opposition to the essential values that have always been defended by the Christian Dior house".

You won't be seeing Galliano anymore in Dior runaway .

Kuwaiti businessman’s plane is still being held for investigation by the Italian police in Napoli after it was fired at when leaving the Beirut Airport three weeks ago.

The plane is a Challenger 604 and was departing from the Beirut Airport when gun shots were fired at it causing several holes in the plane’s body.

Now here’s the funniest part of the story.

International investigators handling this case are claiming that Lebanese living next to the airport could have shot at the airport by mistake in post-game celebrations during the World Cup. [lebanonfiles]

If this turns out to be true, we should be very relieved to know that anyone can sneak in Beirut’s Airport and get on a plane without anyone noticing and that every plane is in shooting range from the airport’s nearby habitats.

Singer Celine Dion is reportedly pregnant with twins after her sixth attempt at in-vitro fertilisation.

The 42-year-old Canadian star's dream of expanding her family has come true, her spokesman has told U.S. media.

Dion, who is married to her manager Rene Angelil, 68, is already mother to nine-year-old Rene-Carles.

And after undergoing her sixth in-vitro fertilisation attempt and turning to acupuncture to improve her chances of conceiving, her spokesman Kim Jakwerth confirmed the happy news to People.com.

Dion is said to be 14 weeks pregnant and will find out the babies' genders next month.
